An additional two individuals are now in custody related to a theft at Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals were injured by a substance believed to be pepper spray, as stated by law enforcement.
A man, 24, was arrested in the Lambeth area on suspicion of robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. They both are still being held, the force said.
The arrests follow a probe into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the incident, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.
A three-year-old girl was among the injured during the incident. Five people went to hospital for treatment and have since been released.
Officers arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of robbery and assault near the location. He was subsequently released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.
Police were called at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding several individuals hurt by a noxious substance believed to be an irritant spray.
The assault - which police said was isolated and not being treated as terrorism - caused train delays and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking facility for a short time.
